1 Month and 19 Months

Today Tanner is 1 month old and Izabel is 19 months. It's been a crazy month and we still have quite a bit of adjusting to do but I think we're already doing better than we expected. Izabel is great with Tanner and still doing well and sleeping through the night. Noah's new schedule is tough on me but he is here in the mornings to help and my mom has been able to help some in the afternoons lately. I've learned how to go out with both of them by myself. Just loading the car is a big undertaking but we have our little routine down now and I've learned how to use the double stroller pretty easily.

Tanner is getting control of his head and he is focusing a lot more. He'll follow an object with his eyes and lift his head during tummy time. He sleeps a lot but is still getting up to eat about every 3 hours. We're trying to get on more of a routine with his sleeping and get him to sleep in his crib more but we still have a ways to go with that. He's a very laid back baby and hopefully he'll remain that way!

Izabel is loving being a big sister but she is still learning what it means to be gentle! She loves having me home I think, even though I am tired and not always in the best mood. We try to go for walks and outings and I try to find time for just her everyday. She's been into her books a lot more and she'll actually sit down and read a whole book. There are even some books she'll "help" me read. She's gotten very brave at the park and play place and doesn't even look back to see where I am. She loves to swim in the bathtub and gets down on her tummy and moves her arms and legs just like she is swimming. We can't wait until we can open the pool and really take her swimming. She's been peeing in the potty about twice a day and she still gets so excited about it. We're trying to teach her how to tell us when she needs to go but the fact that she will sit there and go is very exciting. We don't want to have two in diapers for very long! She's still very little and a very picky eater but she's healthy and mostly happy. She's really good at testing her limits so she's been getting in trouble a lot lately but I guess that's life with a toddler. I'm looking forward to getting her out more this summer and watching her experience all the exciting things our area has to offer!
