Again I know it is a little late but better late than never right?!?!
Over the weekend I took a much needed mini-vacation. I left work a little early and headed up to the Alexandria area (just outside of DC) to visit my friend Humaira. She is Izabel's godmother and she moved back home last year. We haven't gotten to see her much so it was so exciting to get up there and even more exciting to just be me for a weekend (Not a wife and not a mommy).
Friday evening we headed out to dinner at Chili's. We planned on going out afterwards but after dinner a couple drinks we were pretty tired so we headed home and watched a movie. Saturday we headed to Spa World. They have a bunch of different sauna rooms, a pool with different seats, a restaurant, a juice bar and then a bunch of services. We got the body scrub, facial with honey and mud packs and then a deep-tissue massage. We were there for about 4 hours but we really could have spent all day! We had a really nice relaxing morning.
After the spa we headed to Humaira's parents house for a Mia Bella Candle and Tastefully Simple party. There was a ton of great food and a bunch of products on sale so it was great. On the way home we stopped for pedicures since we didn't have time for them at the spa. Back at Humaira's house we opened a few bottles of wine and sat around talking until I couldn't keep my eyes open anymore.
Sunday morning we slept in pretty late which was wonderful. Then we headed to Bob Evans with Humaira's mom and stepmom for brunch. As soon as we got done I hit the road to come home. It was a pretty easy drive and I didn't hit a lot of traffic so it was fine. Noah had just gotten home so we loaded up and headed over to Auntie's house for dinner with her, Gigi and Theresa. We had a good time hanging out and we had a great dinner. After we got home and put the kids to bed I went to work on all the homework I had missed over the weekend. I was pretty tired Monday morning but it was worth it for a wonderful weekend!!!
P.S. Noah had a nice weekend with the kids and everyone was fine when I got home!
Running in Auntie's backyard!
