6 Month Well Baby Visit

Izabel had her 6 month well baby visit today. Dr. Scott says she is perfect! He tested her fine motor skills and of course she showed off everything she could do. She passed a stick back and forth between her hands, rolled all over the place, sat up perfectly, and rocked back and forth on her hands and knees! She is 14 lbs 12 ounces and 26 inches long which is a little bit small for her age but she is very healthy and very happy. She smiled and jumped the whole time, well at least until she got her shots!

She loves looking at herself in the mirrors at Dr. Scott's office!

Now we have moved onto the stage two foods which include meats! We started them tonight and they were NOT a hit. I'm sure she'll like chicken more in the future but for now she'd rather have the applesauce! From the smell of the meats I can't say I blame her!!!

She might not like the meats but at least she likes the fruits and veggies!

6 Months!

Since I have just started doing this I thought I would do one blog for birth up to now and then start blogging about specific events. There are a ton of pictures up to this point that would take far to long to upload but they can all be seen on MySpace of Facebook if you go to my account!

We are having a hard time believing that it has been 6 months already. Izabel has changed so much and we can't believe the difference these few short months have made. She has almost doubled in size and her personality has really come out. She rolls all over the place and sits up really well. She hasn't crawled yet but we know it won't be long. She smiles and giggles all the time and she loves her Mommy and Daddy! She is eating solid foods now. She's made it through the rice cereal, all of the veggies and some of the fruits. She likes them all except for the green beans. She is getting ready to move on to the stage 2 foods which have some food combinations and are a bigger portion. She is also using a sippy cup which is really funny to watch! She loves to be outside and see all of the new things and she loves to shop! We can't wait for summer to get here so I can be home with her and explore all of the new things the world has to offer her. It really is amazing to watch her grow! Check out the difference so far!
