15 Months!

Where does the time go? I feel like it was just yesterday that I as writing about Izabel being 14 months old and now it's been yet another month. It's really amazing to watch her discover new things. She knows all of her main body parts. She can point out all the parts of her face, her hands, her feet and her tummy! She even knows where to find baby Tanner but she thinks she needs to lift up my shirt to say hi or give him kisses! She got mega blocks and foam blocks for Christmas that she is really good at playing with. She also loves the part where she gets to knock it over, especially if someone else set it up! Her appetite is finally back so she is eating pretty much everything again. She talks non-stop. We don't always know what she is saying but she is always running her mouth! She's pretty much down to one nap a day which is okay with me for now but I think I'm going to wish she still took that second nap once Tanner is here! She's very loving and is always giving hugs and kisses. Walking in the door in the afternoon and seeing her light up is really the highlight of my day! I hope everyone gets to experience that feeling at some point in their lives!

Weekend Fun

Friday was my last day home with Izabel before having to return to normal life today! We hung out at home and I started cleaning out her closet. This was one of the many projects I wanted to accomplish on my two weeks off so at least I got some of it done on my last day! I cleaned out all the clothes that are out of season or do not fit. It is funny that some of the summer clothes would still fit if it was still warm enough to get away with wearing them! She still can't get into her sweaters so her closet is a little bare right now. I packed up all of the clothes in space bags and as Noah and I started talking we decided we would try to sell the clothes. I've been saving them all so carefully as I knew we would have another baby and I would have all of these beautiful clothes to put her in (plus new purchases I'm sure) but now that we know we are having a boy it seems like an awful big waste of space. I'm not 100% convinced this will be our last baby but if we do have another one and it happens to be a girl it will still be quite a few years down the road and I'm sure I'll want to buy new stuff by then! So if you or anyone you know is going to need little girl clothes of all sizes up to 12 months let me know!
After cleaning out the closet Izabel and I headed to TGI Fridays to meet Noah for lunch. We ordered Izabel a kids cheeseburger and she went about eating almost all of it and a whole bowl of mandarin oranges and cheerios. She really has gotten her appetite back! Friday night we had Ann, Laurie and Richard over for game night which consisted of a long game of Monopoly. Izabel stayed up late and we all had a good time.

A bunch of Izabel's 6-9 month clothes!

Saturday we were pretty lazy all day. Noah made french toast for breakfast and then spent most of the day in the bedroom watching movies (must be nice!) I don't think we left the house all day!

On Sunday Izabel and I headed up to Richmond with my Mom, Dad, Aunt Phyllis and Aunt Judy to visit my Aunt Mary and a bunch of my cousins. We got there right at lunch time and had a great meal. Then we played. Izabel has a cousin that is only three months older than her (Sydney) and one that is 3 years old (Nathan) so they had a great time playing together. Sydney got a princess tent for Christmas and even the older cousins (teenagers) had fun playing in it with the kids. Izabel got the cutest little purse that sings and talks and has all kinds of things in it that you would normally find in a purse. She thinks it is great and has been enjoying carrying it around just like Mommy does with her purse! We got home and Noah made dinner for us and Aunt Ann who was over visiting. Then we tried to make it an early night since I had to go back to work today but Izabel wasn't going to let that happen. Izabel went to bed just like normal but for some reason she started crying. We went in once and put her back down to sleep but it didn't do any good. She screamed for at least an hour. We finally had to close our door and wait for her to give up! It's heart breaking but she finally fell asleep and stayed asleep all night! I guess that was better than her getting up a few times at night and me listening to her until she gets herself back to sleep. All in all we had a good weekend and now it is back to normal daily life with Mommy and Daddy both at work and Grandma here during the day!
