Trip to Atlanta

From April 25th-30th I took 4 students to Atlanta for International DECA Competition. DECA is the co-curricular club that I sponsor at work and really the only reason I teach marketing. Noah went along with us and we had a great time.

We got in on Friday and stayed at the Sheraton Atlanta Hotel downtown. Saturday we went to Six Flags and it was so much fun actually getting to ride this year instead of just sit and watch! They had a roller coaster called Superman where they actually lay you down so you can fly like Superman would. It was a blast!

Sunday after the DECA events of the day we went to see the Lion King. It was really amazing how they made the actors look and act like the animals.

Monday we had DECA events again and then we went to the World of Coca Cola. We got to try all different kinds of Coca Cola brand drinks and learn how they make it and everything. It would have been more fun for me if I drank soda but we had a good time!

Tuesday we went to the Georgia Aquarium which is the world's biggest aquarium under one roof. It was really cool. We saw a whale shark, beluga whales and all kinds of cool things!

Wednesday we came home super early, but we were so excited to get home to Izabel. It was really hard to be away from her for so long and she even looked different to us when we finally got to see her! That was the last trip I have to take for work this year so I shouldn't have to leave her anymore for a while. Pretty soon school will be out and I'll be able to home with her full time for a while and I can't wait!
