Happy Birthday Tanner Wayne!

Tanner Wayne Ketchledge was born April 8, 2009 at 12:36pm. We weighed 9 lbs 1 oz and was 20 1/4 inches long! Talk about a big boy! There is a lot to tell about how things went yesterday so that will have to wait but I wanted to go ahead and put up some pictures for all of the anxious friends and family members who can't be here to meet him in person. Enjoy!

18 Months!

I wanted to make sure I got to make one last post about just Izabel before things are no longer just about her anymore! I didn't get a picture of her today but I'll have some pictures of her tomorrow that I'll get posted once we get home! Tomorrow Izabel will be 18 months old. A year and half! It makes her sound so big and she thinks she is! She is still very little, just barely over 20 lbs I think. We don't have her appointment until the 27th but according to our scale here she hasn't gained too much. She runs constantly and doesn't eat much so I can't imagine she will have gained much weight but I know she's healthy so I'm not worried. Her signing is amazing and she makes up new signs for things all the time but she still doesn't say too many words that we can understand. Don't think that means she is quiet though because she is far from it! She babbles constantly and she starts every day by waving to my stomach and saying "Hi TayTay!" She loves her dolls and her horse which she jumps on all the time. She also loves to dance and spin around in circles. Maybe she'll be a dancer! Fruit is her favorite thing to eat and that's about it. We try to give her different choices and sneak in vegetables whenever we can but she is very picky! She loves to play outside or just be outside and hopefully the weather will get nice and stay nice for a while so she can have more outside time! She's such a joy and I worry about what her life will be like now with a little brother to share our attention with but I know she'll adapt and she'll be a great big sister! Happy 18 months my love! You'll always be our baby girl!!!

Finally Finished!

I am sitting here the night before Tanner is going to be born and I think I have finally gotten everything ready. I finished the nursery today which mainly included washing and putting away a ton of clothes. We have clothes from newborn up to 12 months and a lot of them won't work for us because of Tanner being born a different time of year than RJ was but at least we have lots and lots of clothes already! I also did all of Izabel's laundry and our laundry so things could be clean when we get home. Then I pulled out the infant car seat, swing and bouncy seat and got them all together. Izabel though they were toys and kept putting her doll in them which was really funny. We made it to the grocery store last night so there is actually some food here now and everything is pretty much cleaned up. I would have liked to get some more actual cleaning done but at least we have everything set up for Tanner and I have our stuff packed for the hospital. Now if I can just manage to get some sleep tonight!!!

Happy Birthday Granddaddy and Weekend Info

Well I was terrible this weekend and didn't take the camera out one time but we had a nice last weekend as a family of three! Friday night we hung out at home (even Noah) and played and relaxed. On Saturday Noah got up with Izabel so I could sleep in but I got up pretty soon after because I was starving. After breakfast I continued going through Tanner's clothes. I got pretty much all of them washed and folded over the course of the weekend. Of course they are a wide variety of sizes and seasons so there are still things we need but we have a lot to start out with! After Izabel's nap we went to Target and Babies R Us for a few last minute things. Then we came home and made dinner and relaxed again. Sunday morning we went to church and Izabel had a blast playing in her new big girl classroom. She played with the play kitchen the whole time which is something we have been talking about getting her so we're glad to know she likes it. We came home and had lunch and then Izabel went down for a nap and Noah went outside to do lawn work. I sat on the porch to supervise until everyone came over for cake and ice cream to celebrate Granddaddy's birthday. We had a nice time and everyone always enjoys watching Izabel show off. After that Noah did some more lawn work and Aunt Ann and Theresa came over. We had chinese for dinner and then got ready for bed. Noah has a short work week in his new position at his job (long story but NOT a good thing) and I have a lot of things I still want to get done before Wednesday! Hope everyone has a great week!!!
