Izzy's 2nd Birthday Party!

Yesterday we had Izzy's birthday party at the house. We had friends and family over for some good food, cake and presents! Izabel had a couple of her little friends over and they played outside after we were done with cake. Izabel got lots of great gifts. We got her a bean bag for her room, a shopping cart and tons of food and dishes for her kitchen. Her godmother Humaira got her a beautiful American Girl Bitty Baby. Her name is Annie and Amy. Izzy is still deciding what she wants to call her :) She got lots of cute clothes, an alphabet apple, some puzzles, cds, a fairy costume, a tea party set, an aquadoodle, and a play vacuum. I'm sure I' m forgetting a few things but she did great and she loves everything! Of course my camera decided to act up so I didn't get as many pictures as I would have liked. Candace took some for me so there will be more pictures up soon! Thank you everyone for coming and for her gifts! She loves everything and woke up super early to get busy playing this morning :)

Time for a Makeover!

You may have noticed some problems with the blog these last few weeks. In order to correct those problems I was going to have to redo all of my page elements. I figured if I was going to have to do it anyway...I might as well update the entire blog! Hilary helped us out again and I think she did a great job! Please comment and let us know what you think. I still have some page elements to work on but for the most part the new blog is complete! We hope you enjoy!

Weekend Update

We had a pretty busy weekend. Friday I stayed at work until my paper was finished and submitted. Noah and Izzy were going to meet me in Hampton to go to the Kecoughtan football game but I was afraid it would rain on us so we met Candice and her son Drew at Fridays for dinner. Drew and Izabel had a cute little date!

Saturday we had a nice lazy morning. All four of us hung out in our bed for a while and snuggled which was really nice. Then Noah and I started getting ready for the big game. We headed over to Norfolk at 1:00 to tailgate with Theresa and Peter for Peter's birthday. While they were tailgating I headed over to FFR to visit with some ZTA alumni that were there to help. I only stayed for about a half hour but it was kind of nice to be around and see what the girls were doing. The game was really great but unfortunately we couldn't pull out a win. We started off up but Monmouth had a good team and we made a few mistakes (they also got lucky a couple times!) The final score was 31-28 so it was close. It sucks to lose but it had to happen eventually. Hopefully now we can learn from the mistakes and be stronger next week!

All four of us!
Sunday the kids let me stay in bed until 8:00! It was so nice. We got up and had breakfast and hung out for a little while. I started cleaning and getting the house back together. We had lunch and then took naps. After nap time we got ready to out to run errands. Somehow we were running dangerously low on diapers and formula so Babies R Us was a must! We also traded Tanner's halloween costume but I will keep the new costume a secret for now! We headed straight over to Auntie's house where we had a fabulous dinner. We had ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, peas, crescent roles, and yummy apple crisp for dessert. It was all really good! The Michaels' came as well and we all had a nice time hanging out. We got home right at bedtime so we went straight to bed after putting the kids down and getting everything ready for the new work week!

Weekend Update

Again I know it is a little late but better late than never right?!?!

Over the weekend I took a much needed mini-vacation. I left work a little early and headed up to the Alexandria area (just outside of DC) to visit my friend Humaira. She is Izabel's godmother and she moved back home last year. We haven't gotten to see her much so it was so exciting to get up there and even more exciting to just be me for a weekend (Not a wife and not a mommy).

Friday evening we headed out to dinner at Chili's. We planned on going out afterwards but after dinner a couple drinks we were pretty tired so we headed home and watched a movie. Saturday we headed to Spa World. They have a bunch of different sauna rooms, a pool with different seats, a restaurant, a juice bar and then a bunch of services. We got the body scrub, facial with honey and mud packs and then a deep-tissue massage. We were there for about 4 hours but we really could have spent all day! We had a really nice relaxing morning.
After the spa we headed to Humaira's parents house for a Mia Bella Candle and Tastefully Simple party. There was a ton of great food and a bunch of products on sale so it was great. On the way home we stopped for pedicures since we didn't have time for them at the spa. Back at Humaira's house we opened a few bottles of wine and sat around talking until I couldn't keep my eyes open anymore.

Sunday morning we slept in pretty late which was wonderful. Then we headed to Bob Evans with Humaira's mom and stepmom for brunch. As soon as we got done I hit the road to come home. It was a pretty easy drive and I didn't hit a lot of traffic so it was fine. Noah had just gotten home so we loaded up and headed over to Auntie's house for dinner with her, Gigi and Theresa. We had a good time hanging out and we had a great dinner. After we got home and put the kids to bed I went to work on all the homework I had missed over the weekend. I was pretty tired Monday morning but it was worth it for a wonderful weekend!!!

P.S. Noah had a nice weekend with the kids and everyone was fine when I got home!

Wacky Wednesday

On Wednesday nights at the Princess Anne library they have Wacky Wednesdays. It's a program for toddler-preschool age children. They read stories, sing songs, play with the parachute and have a great time! We loved it and we will definitely be going back!

Yay!

The Jungle Gym

I know I'm a little behind again! We're so busy that I would need to blog everyday to keep up, but I'm too busy to do that!!! Here are a couple updates. Enjoy :)

Last Sunday (9/13) we met Rebecca, RJ and Rylee at The Jungle Gym out by Lynnhaven mall. We were brave and didn't have any help with us so the kids didn't do that much jumping but they were excited to see each other. It was nice to catch up for a little bit. Now that I am back to work Rebecca and I work opposite schedules so it's hard to find time to hang out. Of course now that our husbands have football to watch on Sundays we might see each other a little more often ;)

She looks like such a big girl!
