Cookie Monster

I thought this was so cute and I just had to share it. Lately I will feed her dinner and then let her chew on a bitter biscuit or banana cookie while I am trying to get dinner together for Noah and me. I guess she was really exhausted from playing outside because when I turned around this is what I saw!

She's Getting Stronger :)

Izabel is really pulling up and crawling around now! She can pull up on a lot of things in the house and if she can't get herself up she gets really frustrated. Once she is up she is starting to "cruise" around on whatever she can hang on too. She has even been brave enough to let go a few times! She is also crawling around on her knees a lot more. I feel bad for her because her little knees get really red from the hardwood floors but I know she'll be ok. Now she is really hard to keep up with but a lot of fun to play with!

Playing Outside!

Well the weather has been really nice lately so we decided to spend some time outside. Izabel loves to sit on the porch and watch the birds and bunnies in the yard. She waves to the people and cars that pass by and she thinks it is really funny when they wave back. Most of the time the people that are walking will stop and say hi to her.

Yesterday we played in the grass which was her first time actually feeling it. She didn't like it at first but she got more and more comfortable and finally crawled off the blanket into it to get her ball. It was funny watching her face and she felt the different texture.

It's hard to believe that soon she'll be walking around in the grass but we know it won't be long! She's crawling more on her knees now and pulling up really well. It's very exciting to watch her discover new things and new abilities!!!

The Joys of Teething!

Well Izabel doesn't have any teeth yet but we have had a time with the teething process! She's been drooling and extra fussy for about a week now. She had a pretty high fever all weekend and the past couple days she's had trouble sleeping and has just not been herself. All four of the front teeth look like they are right there so we are hoping they will all pop through pretty much at the same time! I'll put pictures up as soon as it happens :)

Izabel's Dedication and Mother's Day!

Today was a very special day: Izabel's Baby Dedication at church and my 1st Mother's Day! Of course she woke up very early. I guess she was too excited for all of the days events! We got all ready and she sat around like the little princess she is in her princess robe until it was time to get her dress on. She was too cute!

The whole family as well as JK and Humaria, her Godparents, came to church to see the dedication and Pastor Rob was there to do it. Since he married us I thought it worked out perfectly that he would dedicate our daughter. Izabel was perfect through the whole thing and looked so cute in my dedication dress. Then she went to the nursery which I thought would be difficult since she is teething, but she was perfect back there as well! At least she knows when to behave :)

After church everyone came back to our house for lots of food and we celebrated all of the mothers and Izabel. I got a new camera which I can't wait to try out and Izabel got a pair of diamond cross earrings from her Godfather. One of the best parts was when the hubby cleaned everything up!!! It was really a great day and we are truly blessed. My life has changed completely since I became a mother but I wouldn't trade a single moment!

She's a mover and shaker - 7 months old!

Well Izabel is 7 months old today and she is doing all kinds of new tricks! About a week ago she started crawling around on her tummy. Yesterday she started waving and she can now pull up to standing all by herself. It really is amazing to watch her learn new things. She's learning baby sign language now which means we're all learning it! It'll be fun when she picks it up.
