So I know snow is an everyday part of life for a lot of you that read this but for us it is a rare and exciting occurrence so today everyone was pretty excited that we woke up to snow falling from the sky! It snowed for a good part of the day. Nothing stayed on the ground but it was still pretty to watch it fall. I was on a field trip all day and into the evening to Richmond so I didn't get any pictures but I just wanted to let you know that in Virginia Beach in the middle of November we had snow!

Izzy's Newest Accomplishments
(I am finally feeling better (only a cough left to get over) and I am trying to get the blog updated. All of the missing blogs are written, I just need to download and edit all of the pictures to put in. I'll let you know when they are all up so you can scroll down and catch up on the past month!)
So now that Izabel is one we stopped really focusing on each month as a milestone and doing all of the pictures and everything but I don't want to stop letting you know of the new things she is learning to do each month. I should have done this when she turned 13 months but better late than never!
So recently Izabel has gotten really good at using the all done sign. She uses it every time she is done eating and when I am done changing her diaper (which she hates having done!) She is pretty much running everywhere (forget walking) and she has learned how to arch her back or fall down when she doesn't want to do something or be picked up.
Just over the weekend she started using the sign for eat and she started eating with a fork. She got so proud of herself. We would have to help her get the food on her fork but then she would put it in her mouth and then look at us and wait for us to clap. If we didn't clap she would start clapping trying to get our attention! It was so cute and it is so exciting to see her accomplishing something so big. By Sunday she could get the food on the fork herself and although it doesn't always make it to her mouth she is so close! Meal time will be much cleaner when she can eat with utensils like a big girl!
She has 8 teeth now and can say mama, nana (which we are beginning to think means no), dada and a number of other words that must be in her own language! Her favorite thing to say is of course dada and Noah couldn't be happier! Her favorite toy is her cookie jar. It has shapes that fit into holes in the sides and it sings every time you get one in. She is really good at figuring out which shape goes in which hole and can get it in all by herself. She gets so proud of herself!
The biggest accomplishment of the weekend...she is finally big enough to move into size 3 diapers! She was in size 2 for so long we figured she'd be potty trained before she moved up! Now that she is walking she is finally wearing the diapers designed for crawlers.
She might be tiny but she is growing up so fast and she is so much fun to watch and play with! Can't wait to see her enjoy all of the holiday festivities!!!

Everything is fine
We went to the doctor yesterday since I haven't been able to feel the baby moving this week but everything is fine. The heartbeat is strong and the baby must have just moved into a position I can't feel right now. I was just worried because of being sick and taking medicine but it hasn't seemed to affect the baby at all. No more worries! We find out the sex the first week of December!!!

Sorry for the delay!
I just wanted to take a moment to apologize for my lack of postings! I know I am way behind and I haven't even gotten all of the cute halloween pictures up yet! I have been very very sick for a while now. I thought I just had a cold and I was trying to rest whenever possible. Then I had a very stressful work trip over the weekend. Monday I went to the doctor and they told me I had a bronchial infection and a double ear infection. They put me on antibiotics which I have now completed but I am not feeling much better. Needless to say this has all put a lot of stress on the baby so today I am going into the doctor for a stress test to make sure the baby is handling all of this ok and not in any distress. We're pretty sure it's fine but we want to be on the safe side. I'll post an update after I know something and I'll get the last few postings complete and up as soon as I have more than a minute to spare!!!

Izabel goes to a Babysitter
Today I had to take Izabel to a babysitter outside of our house for the first time! My mom had to have the day off because of my brother and I couldn't find anyone that could come to our house. My friend Ashleigh stays home with her son Braydon so she agreed to keep Izabel. I took Izabel over there Thursday afternoon so she could at least become a little familiar with the place. She had a great time playing with Braydon. This morning I woke her up bright and early and took her over there. She was pretty happy considering it was a lot earlier than she normally wakes up. We got to Ashleigh's and I took her in and then went back to the car to get her bag and car seat. She started crying as soon as I walked out of the door! Then when I gave her a kiss goodbye Ashleigh was holding her and she kept trying to reach for me. We had talked about her staying there and me coming back but I know she didn't understand. Ashleigh did a great job distracting her and I knew she would be well taken care of but it was still really hard. It makes me even more thankful that I have my mom and I haven't had to do that until now!
Richmond
Sunday we went to Richmond to visit with my Aunt and Cousins. We went up there with my Mom and Dad, my other Aunts and my Grandma. It was pretty emotional for all of us because it was the first time we had been up there since my Uncle's funeral. It was especially hard for my Aunt and Cousin because my Dad looks just like my Uncle. While it was hard it was also a lot of fun. Izabel has a 3 and a 1 year old cousin that she got to play with which was a lot of fun for her. They were running around the house and distracting all of us from the sadness in the air. We had a great lunch and spent time catching up and watching the kids play. We had a really nice day and each time we go it will get easier.
