5 Month Pics!

Today I was brave enough to take both kids by myself to try to do Tanner's pictures. I was afraid if I waited any longer it would be time for the 6 month ones! Since we have some exciting picture months ahead of us we just got a couple cute tubby shots! Enjoy!

Up-to-Date....Hooray!!!

In the past couple days I have managed to get the blog up-to-date and hopefully I will be able to keep up now! Make sure you scroll down to see all the posts of recent events! Hope everyone is doing well :)

ODU Football Game # 2!

Last night Noah and I went to the second ODU football game. This time my mom stayed home with the kids and we went with my Dad, Noah's Aunt and Grandmother. We stopped by the Bud tent on the way in for a little tailgating! We had a great time with some food and a couple beers! It's a great way to start off the game! ODU was playing Virginia Union and they started off and stayed strong. ODU won 49-17 and we had a great time! Then we stopped by the bookstore on the way back to the car for some ODU spirit items for the kids! I'll be doing ODU themed pictures soon and I can't wait :) GO MONARCHS!

Noah and Wanger...don't they make a cute couple??

GO ODU! Still undefeated!

Boardwalk Walk!

We met the playgroup down at the beach Wednesday afternoon for a walk and to play at the park. It was really nice in town but when we got down to the beach is was windy, chilly and starting to sprinkle! We walked a little ways and pushing the double stroller against the wind was quite a workout! Then we stopped at one of the parks on the beach and let the kids play. Izabel was so funny. She's been to the beach before but she wasn't too sure about walking in the sand. She wanted to walk over to the playground very badly but she kept turning around wanting me to hold her hand! We played for just a minute and then it started to sprinkle so we got back in the stroller and headed back to the car. It was nice to get to talk to the other moms even though it was only for a little while. We are really starting to like this group!

Not too sure about the sand!

5 and 23!

On Tuesday the 8th Tanner turned 5 months and Izzy turned 23! Of course this was the first day of school so I was super busy and I am just now managing to do this post! Oh well, better late than never right?

Izabel is jabbering 100 miles an hour lately, unfortunately she is still speaking another language! She has added a couple words though. My mom watches Deal or No Deal in the afternoons and Izzy loves to cheer for the contestant. She also loves Howie and if you ask her who she watches on tv she will quickly say "HowiE" She also loves pizza and asks for "pissa" for dinner every night! She says bless you when we sneeze but she says "ma mama" and she'll say it over and over until you say thank you! She is also getting pretty good at saying "amen" at the end of her prayers every night! She knows where everything is so if you lose something you just have to ask Izabel where it went! She can jump pretty high and get both feet off the ground at the same time. She LOVES to jump and I'm working on a way to make that the theme for her big party next month! (If I can manage to get the invites out very soon!) She also loves to play little mother. She loves taking care of Tanner and helping us with him but she is also getting more and more interested in taking care of her babies. Molly is now her favorite doll. She'll walk around with her, rock her, bounce her, play with her and dress her. She still has to have nana and bebe to go to bed though! She is so funny and I can't believe she will be TWO next month! She is turning into a little kid instead of a baby and it is so much fun to watch!

We finally found her a rug for her room and she loves it!

Tanner is the cutest little man ever! He is happy all the time and he smiles with his whole face! He has gotten really good at rolling over and is constantly halfway across the carpet before I turn around. He rolls over in his crib too which frequently wakes him up and in turn wakes me up! We started him on rice cereal just the other day and he loves it! It took him a few days to get the spoon thing down but now you can't get the food in his mouth fast enough. Of course no one ever thought we would have a problem getting this guy to eat!!! We'll be trying oatmeal and his first vegetables soon! He's pretty good at standing up when you hold his hands and he has gained a real awareness for all of the cool toys and things around him. He actually plays with everything in his entertainer and swing and tries to reach the toys on his playmat. He's wearing 6 month clothes and size 2-3 diapers. He loves Izabel but he gives you this look when she is driving him crazy. You can almost see him thinking "Help please!" It's so funny! So far so good on sicknesses too! Knock on wood, but he has only seen doctor Scott for well visits and we hope it stays that way! Of course we're coming into flu season and I bring tons of germs home from school but hopefully we can keep everyone healthy around here!

The sweetest boy in the whole world!
Having a great time in the entertainer
Not too sure about the cereal
Getting pretty close to the "help" look!

I think that pretty much brings you up to date on what these two are doing! I'm going to try to get Tanner's 5 month pictures done today so they should be posted soon. Noah and I are doing well just crazy busy! I can't wait until October is over and he is back on a truck and home with us more! With me being in school and Noah working all the time I feel like we never see each other. We have lots of fun events planned this fall and of course all the fun holidays so stay tuned for lots of updates!

Labor Day Weekend

Labor day weekend was a four day weekend for me and Noah had Friday and Saturday off. Our plan was to go to Ocean Breeze for the last time this summer on Friday so we got all ready and headed down there with Izzy and my brother Josh but it was so windy and chilly that we didn't think it was a good day for us to go. We headed back to the house a little bummed but changed and headed back out to shop for a new computer! Our home computer crashed a while back and although we were able to recover the files (thank goodness!) the computer was too old to really put any money into fixing. We looked at laptops and really liked the Macbook Pro but we aren't ready to make that big of a purchase yet! Friday evening we went to the Kecoughtan football game (the high school I work at). We took Izabel and happened to sit next to my new principal, some guidance counselors, the athletic director and my ap. It worked out really well for me because Izabel put on the cutest little show and everyone LOVED her! She would raise both hands for touchdown and clap and say "Yay" every time we started cheering. She was so good even though it was way past her bedtime by the time we left and it helped me work on a good relationship with the new principal!

Go Warriors! They won 16-14

Noah got up early Saturday morning to head to work for a few hours (we can use all the overtime we can get) and Izzy, Tanner and I headed to the Children's Museum with the play group. We are really starting to like this group a lot and the leader off the group has a son that is only a few days older than Izzy. His name is Andy and I'm sure you'll be hearing lots about him in the future. The Children's Museum was great. I think Izzy really enjoyed it although it was a struggle letting her play and staying with Tanner. The museum is now closed for renovations for 18 months :( but we'll be visiting the one in Richmond soon and we can't wait for ours to reopen!

After a quick nap we got all decked out to head to the ODU football game!!! It was the first time ODU had a football game in 70 years (long before it was even ODU). There was so much excitement all over campus and the place was packed! Izabel wore her ODU cheerleader outfit and pigtails and everyone we walked past made a comment about how cute she was. While we were walking around several cheerleaders came running up and asked to take their picture with her and then we got some more pictures with her and the cheerleaders on the field! The game was great and ODU beat Chowan 36-21. What a great way to start off the season! We have season tickets so you'll be hearing about a lot of football this fall!

Sunday morning Noah headed to work and my mom came over to stay with the kids so I could head to Barnes and Noble to work on my class. I am taking two classes for grad school this semester: Foundations of Career and Technical Education and Advanced Educational Psychology! Sounds fun right?!?! I worked through my psychology chapter and then took my test. I have an 88 average right now so I'd say I'm doing alright. I have to take 1-2 tests a week for psychology with 2 papers this semester and write 1-2 papers a week for the CTE classes so I am staying VERY busy with that! After I was done I took the kids out to Suffolk for a Labor Day cookout at my friend Candice's house. Her son is Drew who had a date with Izabel earlier this summer! He is twice her age but adorable and she had a good time playing with him and the two other kids who were there. They got to swim for a little while but Izabel's lips quickly turned purple so the mean mom that I am made her get out! Noah was able to meet us there after work and we had a nice evening.

Drew picked Izabel up for their date in his Escalade!
She kind of freaked out when he started driving
but it was still SO cute!
Eating dinner with the big kids!

Monday I spent the morning cleaning as much as possible. We got all the laundry done (including sheets, blankets and towels) and cleaned pretty much the whole house. Then we headed out in the rain to do some back-to-school shopping! I really need some new clothes. After about three years of maternity clothes I have nothing that fits or is even clothes to in style! I went in as many stores and tried on as many clothes as I could with both kids but I didn't find anything worth buying! It was so depressing but I guess it's better than finding a bunch of things I want but can't afford. We came home and got all ready for bed and the upcoming work week. It's so sad to go back to school full-time but at least I had a great long weekend with the kids before the craziness began!!!

Day at the Zoo!

On Saturday (8/29) we went to the zoo in Norfolk with the playgroup. Daddy was able to come along as well as my sister and her husband! We were just a little late but we were able to catch up with the group. We had a great time! We got to see several new baby animals including baby lion cubs! Izabel did great and Tanner even sat up in the stroller so he could look around as well. We rode the train and we got to see the kangaroos in the new Australia section of the zoo! We had a great time but it was pretty hot! We went home and we all fell asleep together!
